MPT :: MASTER OF PHYSIO-THERAPY (ORTHO/ SPORTS)

Master of Physiotherapy is a two year degree course conducted by HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand and is duly approved by Ministry of Health & family welfare Government of Uttarakhand and Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
Owing to the need of specialized education after graduation (BPT) in physiotherapy. The institute started postgraduate programme in Physiotherapy with specialization in Musculo-Skeletal disorder,Sports and Neurological Rehabilitations.
The first year of Master’s programmme consists of theory classes and clinical exposure to the students. Students are posted at various hospitals and clinics based on their specialization streams.
At the end of first year, a college examination is conducted for the following subjects:
Review of Basic Human Science, Review of Basic therapeutics, Advance therapeutics and Diagnosis and Practical.
The second and final year includes Seminars and Theory Classes, Clinical dissertation and research work related to the specialization
The college provides well equipped labs comprising of electrotherapy, exercise therapy and recreational rooms.
The MPT sports medicine is the gateway for the candidate to various sports. He/she can join any educational institute, be a consultant for any sports person or can join any reputed paramedical college, as a faculty. The MPT sports medicine provides a detailed knowledge of sports associated injuries, its assessment and treatment. The MPT orthopedics is related to all the orthopedic conditions, its assessment, treatment and if required , its further rehabilitation. After the completion of the 2 years PG program, the candidate can apply for job in abroad too.

ELIGIBILITY:- BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy).
